I wanted to share a few photos of Henry around the house lately.  Everytime I turn around he's into something and doing something new.

A few days ago he crawled over to a basket in our living room, tipped it over, and then gave me the biggest grin when he realized I was looking...

Benny is always around Henry and I know he can't wait until he can really play with him.  I usually catch him licking his face but this time he dropped his toy right in front of him.  Of course Henry crawled right to it and wanted to pick it up.  I'm going to have a hard time keeping Benny's toys out of his mouth...

And lastly, Henry is trying to pull up!  This makes me nervous as he is still pretty unsteady on his feet but it's definitely not stopping him.

Hope you enjoyed a few snapshots from our house.  Happy Wednesday!

Eight Months...

Henry Ryan.... you are eight months old!

I can honestly say this has been the best month yet (I think I always say that...) as you are so much fun right now!  You are such a happy boy and have the biggest smile and you're not afraid to show it.  You love to play with your toys and bang on your drum.

You weigh about 19 1/2 pounds and are wearing 9 month and 12 month clothes.  You're still in size 3 diapers but we're about to make the switch up to size 4.

You are such an active little boy and rarely want to sit still.  It's getting nearly impossible to take your monthly pictures as you would much rather be on the move than pose for a picture!

You are eating great and we still haven't tried something that you don't like.  We've taken you down to five bottles from six and you are eating three times a day.  You love all the fruit and veggie mixes from HappyBaby and their yogurt melts too.  You recently tried Mum Mums and seem to love eating those as well. We also give you table food as often as we can and a new favorite of yours is cheese.

You are sleeping great during the night and go down around 8 pm and wake up between 6 and 6:15.  Some days you sleep a little longer but you're normally up and ready to play by 6 am.   You are not the best napper and we don't have you on a good schedule.  Some days you nap in your crib and other days still in your little seat.  You normally take short naps in the morning and afternoon but every now and then you'll sleep an hour and a half or so if we're lucky.

You've recently shown an interest in books and your favorite right now is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See?   I think your Dad and I have the pages memorized :)

You are doing an "army crawl" and you can sure get around.  We're amazed with how fast you can get across the floor if you see something you want.  I imagine we'll be putting up baby gates soon.

Your Nana gave you this cute baseball outfit and said it looked just like one your Dad used to wear when he was little.  I love how sweet you look in this picture.

This has been such a fun month and I love seeing your personality come out.  Can't wait to see what next month has to hold!

Happy eight months Henry!

Fun in Playa

Last month we traveled to Playa del Carmen for one of my best friends wedding and we had the BEST time!  We've been look forward to celebrating this marriage for a long time and it was definitely worth the wait.

Ryan and I decided to stay at a resort and we used this time away to celebrate our 5 year anniversary as well. Henry stayed at Ryan's parents house and his mom sent daily updates and pictures which made it a little easier to be away from him.

When we arrived at the resort on Wednesday we were greeted with yummy cocktails and a cute welcome bag from Kim and Erich.

We spent that afternoon relaxing by the beach and sipping on pina coladas and other fruity beverages.  We didn't meet up with the rest of the group that night as we wanted to enjoy our first dinner there at the resort.  We also went to bed early and slept longer that night than we had in a long time.  We joked how all we wanted to do was sleep on this trip.  Life sure changes when you become a parent :)

The next morning we met up with the group and hopped on buses that took us to the marina.  Kim's parents had organized for a catamaran to take us out for the day and I can honestly say this was one of the highlights of the trip.  It was so much fun hanging out on the boat for a few hours and then swimming in the blue ocean. It rained a little while we were out there but it didn't stop anyone from having fun!

We relaxed the rest of the afternoon and then got ready for the rehearsal dinner.  The dinner was outside at one of the villas the wedding party was staying at and the setup was perfect!  The dinner was catered by one of Erich's favorite local restaurant for tacos and they served yummy margaritas.  Here's a group shot of all the guys and then the girls.  They had quite a crew come celebrate with them!

The day of the wedding Ryan and I walked around the town that morning and then spent time by the pool reading and enjoying a few coronas.  The wedding was later that evening on the beach outside their villa and the ceremony was beautiful!  It was so much fun to witness their vows and they looked stunning.

They had quite the party after the ceremony and we had a blast.  It was a perfect evening to be outside and we danced for hours.

I wish I would have taken more pics but here's one of the high school gang :)

Ryan and I at dinner...

And one more of the happy couple.  We're so happy for you guys and wish you the best!

It was such a fun trip and we were thankful to have the time with friends and the time to ourselves.  We were definitely ready to see Henry when we got back though!

July 4th

We had a very relaxing 4th of July and spent the day at my parents house.  We went swimming, hung out by the pond, ate some yummy bbq and even did a few sparklers.  Henry didn't see any big fireworks this year but I'm sure he'll be excited to see them when he's older!
