Cheers!

Last week we made a toast...

A toast to Ryan for passing all four parts of the CPA...

A toast for Ryan passing all four parts on the first try...

A toast to Ryan for making ridiculously high scores on each test....

A toast to the last four and a half years of our life that included a MBA degree, additional accounting classes and four CPA tests...

A toast to NO MORE STUDYING...

A toast to me for surviving this with a two year old and a newborn...

And a toast to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for providing hours of entertainment, frozen pizza for keeping us fed and cheap wine for my sanity.

I'm not going to say it was easy for Ryan, myself or our boys.  But we survived.  And we are proud.  And it was a celebration worthy of a toast.  A toast that included two glasses of good wine, a sippy cup full of milk and a smiley baby boy :)

Cheers to Ryan!  We love you and are so proud of your accomplishments.

Charlie at Three Months...

Charles Davis... you are three months old!

We officially survived the "fourth trimester" as they say!  I'd definitely agree that the first 12 weeks of a babies life are some of the most challenging and exhausting weeks as we are trying to figure everything out on very little sleep.  I'm loving this new stage we are in though and I'm so excited for what is to come!

We went to the doctor last week and you weighed 13 lbs, 1 oz and were 23.75 inches tall.  This put you in the 38th percentile for weight and 44th percentile for height.  You are wearing 3-6 month clothes and even some 6 months. I also just switched you to size 2 diapers so you are definitely growing!

You are getting so much stronger and I can finally put you on your tummy without you getting so mad.  I'm impressed with how much you can lift your head and I think it won't be too much longer before you're rolling over from your stomach to your back.

You are drinking 4-5 ounces of formula every 2-3 hours during the day.  You want to take a bottle more frequent in the mornings than in the afternoons.  You also started daycare this past week and are doing really well adjusting to your new routine.  I was so relieved to hear that you barely cry for them and have taken great naps during the day.

You are still waking up once during the night to drink a bottle and thankfully you go back to sleep easily.  You normally go down for the night between 7:30-8:30 and will wake up between 2-3 am. You would normally sleep until 7 but we've had to wake you up this past week around 6 to get you fed and ready for daycare.  It was an exhausting first week back to work but I know we'll adjust to our new routine soon.

Benny is always nearby and I'm so grateful to have a dog that is good with kids.  I know you two will be great buds just like Henry.

We've started putting you in the tub with Henry and he loves to help wash you.  I can't wait to have you both sitting up in the tub which I'm sure will be crazy.  Henry is already making a mess and splashing water everywhere and I know you'll be right there with him :)

We've had a cold winter so we had to bundle up for our afternoon walks with Benny.  Now that I'm back at work I know it will be a little harder to get out but I'm hoping we can keep up with this some evenings.  You usually do great in the car seat and enjoy being outside.

You have the best smile and love to flash your gummy grin and coo when people talk to you.  You are becoming so alert and recognize when Henry, your Dad and I talk to you.  They also take Henry to visit you at school throughout the day and I love that he looks out for you.  He is such a proud big brother to have you at school with him and tells all his buddies that your name is Charlie.

Love you so much Charlie boy!!!
