#1 with no onions and a Diet Coke

I was skimming through my wedding photographers blog, Vanessa, this morning and came across a picture that made me smile. If you know my husband you know about his love/obsession with Whataburger. I swear he could eat it everyday and A)not get sick of it and B)not gain a single pound. On her blog she posted a picture of a grooms cake and sure enough it has a Whataburger theme. That's right - the orange and white sack on top of a cake. I literally laughed out loud. The best part is I sent the link to Ryan with the picture and he informed me that he was actually eating Whataburger at the moment.

Here's to you Ryan and your love for Whata!

Fun with Aaron, Nicole & Daisy

Last week Ryan and I had the opportunity to spend some quality time with the Merediths and their new puppy Daisy. They have been living out of suitcases for the last two weeks due to no electricity and we welcomed them into our home since it was much closer to Aaron's work. I know they would of loved to of been in their own house by now but I must say it was nice to have them over. Not only did we have a good time with Aaron and Nicole, our lil boy Benny had a new playmate! Daisy is a cute labradoodle and she's only three months old. I'm pretty sure she hated Benny at first b/c he wouldn't let her sit down but I think Daisy grew to love him. Before we knew it, they were running around in the backyard playing and running with each other!

Aaron and Nicole had power again on Friday and obviously they were heading home. Hoewver, I must admit that I was sad to see them leave and I know Benny has missed his new playmate. Here are a few fun pictures from our last evening together!

Meet Mark

This post is in honor of Mark Technik. Tonight Ryan and I went to dinner with two of our favorite couples, Aaron & Nicole and Mark & Alison, to our favorite restaurant El Tiempo. I recently had sent out the link to my blog to my friends and of course Mark has a smart comment about "Life with the Rudys". Honestly, I think he's just jealous. It is only a matter of time until Alison comes out with "Team Technick". However, I decided to dedicate this post to Mark partly because he is just jealous of this awesome blog and party because of what a great friend Mark is to us. Mark is one of Ryan's best friends and my "bestest" friend since high school, a roommate to Ryan in college, Best Man at our wedding and now he is marrying one of my best friends from college, Alison. Ryan and I have so many great stories/memories with Mark that we are saving them for their wedding weekend.

Thanks Mark for your friendship, laughter, and love and we are looking forward to many more years to come!

Catch Up

Ok, now that I have decided to start blogging I'm not sure where to start. I feel like there is so much I want to share and I have so many pictures and stories I would love to tell. I guess I will move forward from here on and try to keep this updated regularly.

For starters, I guess I could always mention the Hurricane. I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing the name IKE but I can share how it has affected Team Rudy. To keep this short we ended up being without power for a week, having a branch fall on our front roof, knocking part of our fence down and creating what looked like a forest of branches in our backyard. I was scared to drive up and see what our house looked like but after seeing what IKE has done to others I feel somewhat fortunate. We are currently living with a tarp on our roof (like many other Houstonians) and are anxiously waiting for the insurance adjuster to come and write us a big check. I'll keep you posted on how that turns out.

I've posted a few pics so you can see the damage:

Hello!

I have finally decided to enter the blog world. I truly enjoy reading other blogs and I have decided that if they can do it, so can I. I think this will be a great way to keep everyone in tune to what is going on in our household. I plan on posting regularly so stay tuned!
